Flower vases
A set of parallelepipeds in stone and glass that recall the skyline of an imaginary city.
A mixture of cinema and literature. The tyrannical and distressed Metropolis of Friz Lang but also the Invisible Cities of Calvino. The dialogues between the Venetian Marco Polo and the Tartar emperor Kublai Khan, who asks the explorer to tell him about the towns of his immense empire. Marco Polo describes the 55 cities in different ways: with realism, imagination and invention. One above and one below, one inside and one outside. Our immense metropolis – reduced to a miniature and turned into simple flower pots – is no longer scary.
Presented for the first time in occasion of Design.Ve.
